3rd GAP Workshop:
Advanced Imaging for Bone Research
CNRS, December 2nd-3rd 2025

Hosted by CNRS in Strasbourg, the second GAP workshop immersed doctoral candidates in the world of advanced bone imaging technologies. This highly practical event provided hands-on experience with state-of-the-art electron microscopy techniques, including SEM, TEM, and volume electron microscopy.

Through a balanced mix of lectures, laboratory demonstrations, and guided experiments, participants learned how to prepare biological samples, acquire high-resolution imaging data, and perform 3D reconstructions. A collaborative challenge encouraged doctoral candidates to identify imaging solutions tailored to their own research questions, promoting critical thinking and cross-disciplinary exchange.

The workshop strengthened technical expertise while boosting confidence in using cutting-edge research infrastructure—an essential step for innovative, high-impact bone research.
