Tenured Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering at TU/e, and holds an adjunct appointment in Biofabrication at UMC Utrecht. His team aims to replace bone grafts and permanent implants with synthetic alternatives that replicate native bone tissue properties. He develops in vitro bone-tissue manufacturing strategies to achieve this, with expertise in biomaterials design, processing, characterization, and biological assessment.
